HALCYON MARINE01 — Approach
The Meridian 54. Fifty-four feet of carbon, and nothing between you and the water.
02 — Yard
The Meridian is laid up in Bergen, in a shed that opens straight onto the North Sea.
Every hull is finished by the crew who will launch it. No boat leaves the yard before it has been taken out in weather worth the name.
03 — Waterline
The camera drops to the surface. The bow lifts, the spray comes over the lens, and the hull holds its line through the swell.
04 — Horizon
The camera draws back and the coast goes with it, until there is nothing left in frame but the boat and the distance ahead of it.
05 — Serie
$2,850,000
Each hull numbered at the transom and signed by the crew who laid it up.
06 — Commissioning
Twenty-four hulls. Places are offered in order of registration, and a sea trial comes first.
